“العسومي” و”شارومبيرا” يتفقان على خريطة عمل برلمانية بين البرلمان العربي والبرلمان الأفريقي

أكد معالي السيد عادل بن عبدالرحمن العسومي رئيس البرلمان العربي، حرص البرلمان العربي على تعزيز العلاقات مع برلمان عموم أفريقيا (البرلمان الأفريقي)، مشدداً على أن القارة الأفريقية تمثل العمق الاستراتيجي الحقيقي للدول العربية، فضلاً عن أن نصف الدول العربية تقريباً هي في الوقت ذاته دول أفريقية، مضيفاً أن العلاقات العربية الأفريقية الحالية لا تتناسب مع ما يجمع الجانبين العربي والأفريقي من روابط تاريخية وثقافية وشعبية ومصالح استراتيجية متبادلة.
جاء ذلك خلال استقبال معالي رئيس البرلمان العربي معالي السيد فورتشن شارومبيرا رئيس برلمان عموم أفريقيا والوفد المرافق له بالقاهرة؛ حيث قدم له الشكر لتلبيته الدعوة والمشاركة كضيف شرف في المؤتمر الخامس للبرلمان العربي ورؤساء المجالس والبرلمانات العربية الذي نظمه البرلمان العربي في مقر جامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة.
وخلال اللقاء، اتفق رئيس البرلمان العربي مع نظيره الأفريقي على خريطة عمل برلمانية بين المنظمتين خلال الفترة القادمة، تتمثل أبرز ملامحها الرئيسية في تطوير مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين الجانبين لكي تتناسب مع التطورات والمستجدات الحالية، فضلاً عن التنسيق المشترك في المحافل البرلمانية الدولية التي تجمع بين المنظمتين، والاتفاق على عدد من القضايا الرئيسية الأكثر إلحاحاً لكلا المؤسستين، وفي مقدمتها الأمن الغذائي، والقضية الفلسطينية، ومكافحة الإرهاب، وتغير المناخ، والتصدي لظاهرة الإساءة إلى الأديان.
ومن جانبه، أكد معالي السيد “شارومبيرا” حرصه الشديد على وجود آليات على أرض الواقع لتفعيل التعاون بين برلمان عموم أفريقيا والبرلمان العربي، على نحو يحقق الدعم المتبادل للقضايا التي تهم كلا الطرفين في المحافل الدولية المختلفة، والتنسيق المشترك بشأن القضايا الرئيسية التي تم الاتفاق عليها كأجندة عمل لكلا الجانبين، مشدداً على ضرورة أن تكون هناك لقاءات منتظمة بين قيادات كلا المنظمتين، لمتابعة وتقييم مسيرة التقدم المُحرز بين الجانبين، كما أكد كذلك على أهمية تعزيز العلاقات بين اللجان المناظرة في البرلمان العربي وبرلمان عموم أفريقيا.

During his meeting with the President of the Pan-African Parliament in Cairo,
AlAsoomi and Charumbira agree on a parliamentary action map between the Arab Parliament and the African Parliament
The President of the Arab Parliament H.E. Mr. Adel Bin AbdulRahman AlAsoomi, emphasized the Arab Parliament’s keenness to strengthen relations with the Pan-African Parliament (The African Parliament), and stressed that the African Continent represents the real strategic depth of the Arab States, even almost half of the Arab States are African States, adding that the current Arab-African relations do not match with the Arab and African sides’ historical, cultural and popular ties and mutual strategic interests.
This came during the reception of H.E. Chief Fortune Charumbira, President of the Pan-African Parliament and his accompanying delegation by H.E. Adel Bin AbdulRahman AlAsoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, in Cairo, where AlAsoomi thanked Charumbira for accepting the invitation and participating as a guest-of-honour in the 5th Conference of Speakers of National Arab Assemblies and Councils organized by the Arab Parliament at the Headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
During the meeting, the President of the Arab Parliament agreed with his African counterpart on a parliamentary action map between the two organizations over the coming period, its most prominent features are to develop the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides to suit the current circumstances and developments, as well as the joint coordination in inter-parliamentary fora that brings together the two organizations, and the agreement on a number of key pressing issues for both sides, notably food security, the Palestinian question, countering terrorism, climate change and addressing the phenomenon of the defamation of religions.
From his side, H.E. Charumbira, stressed his keen interest in the presence of mechanisms on the ground to activate cooperation between the Pan-African Parliament and the Arab Parliament, in a manner that achieves mutual support for issues of interest to both parties in various international fora, and joint coordination on main issues agreed upon as a working agenda for both sides, underlining that there should be regular meetings between the leaders of both organizations, to follow up and assess progress between the two sides, he also highlighted the importance of strengthening relations between the corresponding committees in the Arab Parliament and the Pan-African Parliament.
